Exhibit of recent Yukon Permanent Art Collection acquisition in the Community Gallery
Exciting new acquisitions to the Yukon Permanent Art Collection will be displayed in the YAC’s Community Gallery during the Arctic Winter Games. Each year since 1981, the Friends of the Gallery Society selects new works. This year’s 10 new acquisitions represent various styles and media, from portrait painting to mixed media sculpture, and add another chapter to the visual record of artistic development in the Yukon.
Unique in style and approach, each new work reveals the influence of the Yukon and the north.
